CBO managed to help a client increase her Sales via optimizing her internal resources!
This client is in the medical industry, with a group of medical clinics. Revenue was constrained by and was a function of the availability of doctors, seniority of doctors, specialties of doctors, number of available rooms, number of available clinic days, and availability of medical equipments.
Yet, there were peak hours & peak days when there would be a sudden surge of Medical clients which the client would be unable to service, resulted in lost of Income!
CBO analyzed the number of doctors and re-did a shift plan.
CBO analyzed the seniority of the doctors available and thereafter re-did their charge-out rates, with the more senior & specialized doctor commanding highest charge-out rate. This allowed for free-market forces to work – ie, the senior doctors and doctors with specialty skills would be paid for by the more well-off customers, and vice versa.
Then CBO analyzed the availability of the Consultation Rooms, and worked out a Rotating cum Room-Sharing Plan.
CBO then reviewed the Clinic work and rest days, and reworked a Schedule which covers most of the peak hours and peak days, including weekends and public holidays, with help from relatively junior doctors covering the gaps.
Then CBO relooked at Utilization of all critical medical equipments, and worked out an Optimal Equipment-Sharing Scheme for the clinics.
The result of the above was amazing! The client’s revenue increased 50% in the month immediately after the month of implementation.
