Open your eyes, look around you, be sensitive to the needs ( current and future needs ) of your customers, create value to meet their needs, position your company to be serving these customers either on a small scale and niche ( we call boutique ), or on a big scale ( we call regional or via collaborations or mergers or amalgamations ) in the future.
Go up 30,000 feet to look far in your business strategy, but come down to ground zero to implement with baby steps.
Make many minor adjustments along the way towards the same general direction.
