Teamwork Is The Best Competitive Tool To Our Business Success

Without the support of my team of very dedicated staff and the selfless sacrifices of my other equity partners, my corporate services firm ( Corporate BackOffice ) would not have traveled so far in just less than 2 years!

Every team member has unique skill set – namely Corporate Advisory and Secretarial, Pre-Incorporation business and corporate advisory, Company Formation, CFO, Accounting and Financial Analysis, Financial Modeling, GST, Corporate and Personal Income Taxes, Payroll and HR Admin like Work Passes, and Training of Business Owners.

We started by selecting all our staff very carefully. During the interview process, our existing staff would also be in the final selection stage to “approve” the final candidates. We look more for cultural fit, attitude fit, and acceptance by all. If any of our existing staff does not feel comfortable with the chosen candidate, we will reject the candidate and move on with other shortlisted ones.

Every newly hired staff would then be put through a 3-month rigorous and demanding training cum orientation program, paired with the seniors in charge of respective clients’ engagements, and with close personal supervisions and Mentorship by all partners / directors throughout the whole probation period.

Performance Appraisals are done immediately after every client assignment to ensure all the staff in the particular client engagement understands the gaps in their performances, and areas of improvement that can be made.

We don’t hesitate to counsel out any non-performing staff during the probation period if the “fit” is not there.

We celebrate every memorable moment together – namely appointment by a new client, a team member’s birthday, every festive holiday in a year, welcoming a new staff member to the team, quarterly staff outing, and most importantly, we never miss all lunches together everyday !

When a team member is held back during lunch time on certain days, the rest of the team would wait patiently until he or she is free to go lunch together.

There are some members in the team who do not eat certain types of food, the whole team will refrain from taking the same too so that we all can go eat at the same place for lunch together.

Quality time spent during every lunch time cements our ties, makes us understand every member better, and we would share about our families and our recent events during lunches.

Whenever a new client signs on the dotted line to engage the services of my corporate services firm, the office red bell will be rung, and everyone would then be treated to ice-cream feast immediately after lunch to celebrate, as well as to prepare ourselves mentally to not only meet but exceed new client’s expectations. I would then take the chance to brief all during this ice-cream celebration of the background of this new client, and special areas to look out for, if applicable.

Whenever a team member falls sick, the rest of the team will not feel good. Everyone would be concerned until the sick one recovers.

Whenever a team member travels on vacation, he or she will miss the rest of the team so much so that he or she will bring back loads of gifts from overseas to share with the whole team. Perhaps thanking the team for covering him or her during the absence.

Our clients, very often, would buy small snacks for our team when they visit us to show their appreciations of our effort. The whole team would then gather together to share the snacks and take the chance to break the monotonous routine at work to bond and chat a bit after the client leaves.

Our whole team and partners are excited about the Vision of our firm, and everyone is so looking forward to making the Vision come true !

We are currently at 3 office locations in Singapore in less than 2 years ( Suntec Tower 3, Singapore Land Towel @ Raffles Place and Paya Lebar Square ). We shall be announcing the opening of our 4th office in the West @ NUS Science Park soon in January 2018 due to increasing clients’ demand in that part of island.

We are also present in Kuala Lumpur @ KL Central with our own office, in Philippines @ Manila via Prople and China @ Shen Zhen.

Due to the increase in anticipated new clients onboarding in 2018, we have started our recruitment exercise some 2 months back. We are looking for the right-fit talent to join our team in the capacity as :

1. Accountants
2. Payroll Specialists
3. Taxation Specialists
4. Corporate Secretarial specialists
5. CFO

As per our normal hiring practice, we don’t rush to hire, and we are strong believer in “fate” – for the right fate arranged by God would bring us the right talent in due course.
