Patience will really turn into Gold!

This is a story which happened some months back…
A VIP client connected me with a prospect client on Whatsapp.
This prospect client, unknown to me, was in a transition of closing her existing company, and she was moving back into employment in a few months’ time..
She asked to see me after a few days’ of different enquiries over Whatsapp and phone calls.
I went to see her, we met finally.
She asked for my credentials, then my services, then my fee quotes, and then questioned every line item on the term sheet. Then asked me to re-quote, and then another round of re-quote, and seemed endless requests …
Not that I was desperate for her assignment, I did that with the sole purpose to help her, whose business seemed to be in distress, and furthermore, she was referred to me by a VIP client of mine…
Patience…I went to see her again as per her request…
During subsequent meetings, she was asking for all sorts of questions and advices pertaining to taxes, severances for staff, striking off her company, etc, and I acceded without second thought…and tried to help by offering her various advices…
At last, she texted me to say she had found a cheaper service provider, and thanked me for all my advices…
My first feeling was deep disappointment for having spent too much time on this prospect. I maintained my positiveness for having helped someone in need…Exactly 3 months later, I received a phone call, it was from the buyer of that prospect client’s business.
The caller told me I was highly recommended by the Seller of the Company he just bought – who was that prospect client of mine, and asked me to go see him.
We met, and I quoted my full suite of services from Company Secretarial, Accounting, Payroll, Tax, CFO services to my CFO-Business Owners Clinics. Surprised to me, he signed on the dotted line without asking nor any bargaining nor any further question…
Amazed, stunned, and I brought the signed Contract back to my partners….they smiled …
I really believe in “Good Karma”, God would only help those who are sincere, and help themselves…
