Tortoise And The Rabbit Story In My Own Entrepreneurship Journey

It all started in March last year, from One office to three offices in May this year, in slightly over a year.

The partners and myself are very passionate and dedicated accountants, who know nuts about marketing. We didn’t know how to market our services. We just focused on giving our best to every client who came along our way.

Clients who came to us were mainly in a messy state or were very unhappy about their existing Service Providers who had failed them in some ways or another, or were referred to us through our existing clients who are very satisfied with our services.

Many outsourced Accountants in the market would rush to finish the accounts and deliver to their clients so as to be able bill quickly, or that they would collect first but drag to do the accounts, only to complete the accounts after numerous reminders and expeditions by the clients.

Our style is to spend many hours, even days, to onboard a new client, to understand the client’s business model, it’s workflow and document flow, and to discuss with the client on how he or she wishes to read and the financial statements. We would then tailor the Chart of Accounts to capture all numbers and put in place various accounting policies so that the financial statements that are generated later on would be capable to give meaningful and consistent analysis.

We would then spend hours to train the Admin person of the client to do the various required paperwork monthly for our bookkeeping purposes.

We are strong believer of “Garbage-in, Garbage-out”. We prefer to nip the problems at the bud so that no Rectification work are needed later on.

Only good-quality source information would lead to good-quality financial statements.

Only good-quality financial statements would lead to good-quality financial analysis.

Only good-quality financial analysis would lead to good-quality business decisions.

Only good-quality business decisions would enable our clients leap frog competition and win in this market place where only the Fittest Survives. 强者生存.

Our clients are always saying that we are keeping them on their toes much more than their own parents. They have never seen such Corporate Service firm before.

The Cantonese has this saying – “细火出靓汤”. It simple means “Good and Tasty Soup needs hours to broil”. Rush job would only spoil the Soup !

We take great pain with every client. However, the “Soups” which we broil are always so “Tasty and Nutritious”.

The difference is in the “Chef”…

So far, our Tortoise speed is winning many Rabbits in the corporate services marketplace in many aspects, especially in our Client Experience and Retention.

We intend to continue this way.
